We have two types of members:
- Voting Members (people who can choose the Board Members every two years)
- Non-Voting Members (people who support us but who can’t choose the Board Members)
Voting members can be one of the following:
- People who support our mission statement, identify with disability, and go to school in DC, Maryland, or Virginia
- People who support our mission statement, identify with disability, and live in DC, Maryland, or Virginia
Non-voting members can be one of the following:
- People who support our mission statement and identify with disability but who don’t live or go to school in DC, Maryland, or Virginia
- People who support our mission statement and live or go to school in DC, Maryland, or Virginia, but who don’t identify with disability
All members are agreeing to participate in our activities or discussions as best as they can, either online, in-person, or both.
Membership applications can be sent by email or postal mail. (Upon request, we accept phone or video applications from people who communicate best in one of those formats.) We will publish various formats in the next few weeks to make sure everyone can access an application.
